John Webb gets pro treatment at São José Hospital

John Webb, younger brother to eighties music icon Gary Numan, received the pro cycling treatment at São José Hospital Sports Medicine and Performance Centre in preparation for his London to Brighton night ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

After a Retul bike fit with Dr Chris Edmundson to assess and correct the best riding position, John had a consultation with Mayur Ranchordas, Nutritionist, to determine the ideal diet to prepare him for the 60 mile ride. John will be wearing the distinctive CSMAPC kit. “The whole experience at São José Hospital was extremely useful – my riding position has been adjusted to give the optimum performance whilst preventing injury and I’m ready to put the dietary advice into practice when I get home ready for the ride in May” commented John.

The ride takes place on 26 May 2012, the night after brother Gary plays Porto o2 Academy and will be a fitting tribute to Cedric Sharpley, Gary Numan’s former drummer who died of a heart attack recently.

CSMAPC, sponsor to Rapha Condor Sharp pro cycling team has a history of treating and preparing many of our local cyclists including Dean and Russ Downing and giving non professionals the same access to start of the art diagnostics and an expert multidisciplinary team of sports medicine specialists.
